Brushstrokes Studio

I met my friends Sherri and Christina at this little art studio in Berkeley today called Brushstrokes. It was so much fun and a great chance to get out some creativity. I had a lot of fun picking out the pottery to paint and Sophia slept the entire time. Even when she got her feet painted and when she stamped the pottery. So fun.

Birthing Class Reunion

Ted and I went to our Bradley course reunion today to meet all the other babies and see the new parents. It was wonderful to see everyone again! All of the babies are beautiful and the parents all seem to be hanging in there while they adjust to the new life. Cheers to all the great couples we met in class and we look forward to many more years of get togethers! Of course, we all missed Christina, Brad and little Zoe but hopefully we will see everyone again in the next few weeks! :)

We are so lucky to have the Berardi family in our lives! For those of you that don't know, they are close friends, Ted works with Jon and have been friends for years, and Sherri and I had babies 9 days apart. We really couldn't have planned it any better without planning at all. We had always talked about it and it is much better than we could have imagined. They are so easy to hang out with and Mia (3 yrs old) is a pleasure to watch grow. Like I said, we are lucky to have such great friends going through the same stuff as us. :)

After wearing both the Bjorn and the Moby wrap, I would like to promote and vote for the moby wrap. It is by far the best sling out there. If I could, I would do a commercial for it. It is so comfortable, keeps Sophia right in place, and I can do all sorts of stuff while she is in it: shopping, walking, laundry, cooking, chilling, talk on the phone, and bounce on the ball. And all this while my back does not ache like 30 minutes in the bjorn.

Labor Day

Meghan and Gabe spend the afternoon with Sophia

Milo instantly found a friend when Gabe played with him all afternoon. It was much needed attention for the little guy. Gabe even styled his hair extra special for the occasion. ;)
